If you’re building your own sawhorse using Truncator cups, you need one securing cup in your system to hold the timber safely in place during cutting. You simply pull the bungee cord over the timber and fasten it down to the cleat on the beam. This stops the wood from spinning or jumping out of the cups. The cups are made from recycled car battery plastic and are extremely durable. They’re UV resistant, are unaffected by extremes of temperature (tested down to -10 degrees celsius), and flex to accommodate very large diameter timber.
The toggle on the end of the bungee cord allows you to quickly release it from the cleat when you’ve finished cutting.
